Ryan Malone Joins with Pioneers

Springfield College Standout Brings Scoring Touch

The Western Mass Pioneers are pleased to announce that Ryan Malone has agreed to join the team for 2011.

Malone, who hails from Chicopee, Massachusetts, was a freshman in 2010 at Springfield College.  In his first year, he received Rookie of the Year from the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC).  He also was named second team all-conference.  An impact player, he scored nine times, ranking second in conference in goals.  He also was responsible for five game-winning goals in 2010, the most in the league.

“We are very excited to have Ryan join us” states Pioneers General Manager Greg Kolodziey.  “His pace and scoring touch will help us score goals and solidify the attacking midfield and forward positions.”
